    From Management to Rube’s

Bailey’s career has taken him through a variety of roles, all of which helped shape his leadership, teamwork, and business acumen. He started working for the City of Van Meter in high school before spending time at Hy-Vee and then a landscaping company during college summers. His management career took off at Kum & Go, where he climbed the ranks quickly—becoming a Sales Manager within a year and later transitioning into the Food Manager role.

While working weekends in the Rube’s kitchen, he quickly discovered a passion for the hospitality industry and was soon promoted to full-time manager.

    Why Bailey Loves Rube’s

Bailey’s journey to Rube’s was inspired by family—his little brother and mom had already joined the team and raved about how much fun it was. But what really solidified his decision? His dream.

Bailey and his wife have always wanted to own a specialty butcher shop, selling high-quality meats, cheeses, homemade pickles, and wines. What better place to learn the ins and outs of the steakhouse and meat industry than at Rube’s?

    Bailey's must-try menu item

“The corn—no one else around has anything that even compares.”

    Beyond the Restaurant

When he’s not at Rube’s, Bailey is likely kayaking, camping, fishing, or hunting with his wife. He’s also a huge sports fan and enjoys staying active.
